O’s Notes: Drummer Joel Haynes leads a trio with Jodi Proznick (b) and Tilden Wenn (p). Guest artist Seamus Blake (sax) makes his presence known from start to finish inspiring the trio to stretch their limits. This is a live recording captured over three nights at The Cellar in Vancouver. The pace is hot except on “Always There” a mid tempo ballad. They swing from top to bottom especially on “Impress Me”, our favorite track.
