O’s Notes: Kaze is a free jazz quartet featuring Satoko Fujii (p) and Natsuki Tamura (t) from Japan with French trumpeter Christian Pruvost and drummer Peter Orins. They play three lengthy selections with excellent recording quality. There is a lot of air between the musicians making the improvisation more intelligible and dynamic. However intriguing, Unwritten may be a tad unapproachable for larger audiences.
