O’s Notes: Bob’s quintet is Misha Tsiganov (p), Gene Jackson (d), Alex Sipiagin (t) and Boris Kozlov(b). They play a series of eight cookers all written and produced by Bob. Gallo displays a lot of technique and energy as he races through the notes on his guitar starting with “Wake-Up Call”. Micha and Alex are right there with him on “Calculated Risk”, one of the best tracks. They take a moment to breathe on “Dedication” but they get back to the races immediately with “Commotion”. We also liked “Fat Tuesday” with the blended trumpet and guitar melodies. Bob’s got a lot of talent!
