O’s Notes: The cast is Keith Jarrett (p), Jack DeJohnette (d) and Gary Peacock (b). This venerable trio has produced an abundance of good music over 25+ years. This live session was recorded in Tokyo 2001 in front of a very appreciative audience. It’s the fourth album recorded from their 2001 tour! They are playing standards but injecting their heart and soul into the performance. Highlights are the ragtime vamp of “You Took Advantage Of Me”, “You’ve Changed” and the mellow “Yesterdays”. As always on ECM, the audio quality is excellent. We’re nearing the point of automatic endorsements for these guys.
