O’s Notes: There are a wide variety of smooth jazz tunes on this session. They get funky on “Chicken N’Waffles”, soothing on “Dance With My Father” and soulful for “Heart’s Desire” featuring the vocals of Johnny Kemp. There is a taste of hip-hop on “Let’s Lounge” before they chill on “One of A Kind”. Young leads the way on sax and also as the composer and arranger of several tracks. Travis Milner plays keyboards, bass, programming of drums and also contributes a few originals. It is a good collage of contemporary jazz.
