O’s Notes: This is a musical interpretation of events described in the second book of the bible, Exodus. The core players are Guy LeBlanc (keyboards), Guy Dagenais (b), Alain Bergeron (d, vocals) and Triatan Vaillancourt (g). David Campbell (g), David Peterson (violin) and France Morin (voice) are guest artists making special contributions throughout the set. The guitars are singing on “Burning Bush” a punctuated rock fusion jam that packs a lot of punch. Peterson’s fiddle adds spice to “The Plagues”. LeBlanc’s work on the organ opening “Down From The Mountain” sets an almost eerie ancient mood before they rock your socks off infusing racy, rap/chant lyrics on top of pounding rhythms. The display a softer relaxed side on “The Last Climb”. Overall this is amongst the most creative progressive rock albums of the year.
