O’s Notes: Reuben is a master on the Hammond and he truly enjoys playing. On this outing he joins forces with guitarist Rodney Jones, J.T. Lewis (d) and Kenny Garrett on sax. They play nine selections, several standards, “Blues For RW” written by Jones, a couple of ballads and a couple of Wilson’s cookers. The upbeat arrangement of “Summertime” and “Kitchen Fire Blues” were hopping. Garrett stepped up for “Streets of Laredo” topping off a cool set.
