O’s Notes: Claudio Roditi is a trumpet player who loves to write music. He composed all of the music on this session. His band includes Romero Lubambo (g), Michael Dease (tb), Helio Alves (p) John Lee (b) and Duduka da Fonseca (d). The rich tones from Roditi’s trumpet are soothing on “Alftitude”, one of many rich selections. Roditi sings the lyrics on “Waltz for Joana”, the lone vocal track. They play some sambas and some blues, all upbeat pleasant music that begs you to replay it!
