O’s Notes: Satoko Fujii plays piano, composed all music and assembled the band with Natsuki Tamura (t), Akora Horikoshi (d) and the late Norikatsu Koreyasu (b). The opening notes of “Fortitude” set the stage for this experimental, eclectic undertaking. Shrill sounds are abundant as the quartet uses dynamics with their random expression to create what to some will be noise yet a masterpiece for others. Time Stands Still was recorded in June 2011 and serves as a reminder of the musical communication between the four musicians.
