O’s Notes: Lorraine has a soft but powerful voice that she exercises in front of a strong set of musicians that includes pianists Dave Grusin, Shelly Berg and Russell Ferrante, Grant Geissman (g) and Bob Mintzer (b cl). We enjoyed the vocal harmonies on “Hearing Things”, “159”, and violinist Charles Bisharat’s work throughout the set. This is a unique groove that stuck a rich chord with us.
