O’s Notes: Chicago based trumpeter Brad Goode assembled a diverse sextet with musicians from Ghana, Lebanon, Brasil and the USA. They all gel around the same style to present Brad’s ten original compositions. The beats are funky with a veil of dark tones. Goode shares the stage allowing liberal doses of creativity across the band. “Mambo Disonante”, “Cats In The Yard” and “All Fall Down” cap a strong finish of a vibrant session.
