O’s Notes: Vocals come from Allonymous and Emma Lamadji in a contemporary, Latin-tinged and pop groove. Lyrics are in Songo (the language of the Central African Republic) and English. The rhythm section keeps it funky led by guitarist Julien “JuJu” Raulet, drummer Maxine Zampieri, bassist Sylvain Daniel and David Monet on keys. The combination of western jazz, European techno and funky soul is much more inviting that you might suppose as this team opens some new paths on the contemporary jazz scene.
