O’s Notes: Belgian-born, Berlin-based vocalist Sophie Tassignon has sung many genres and has a fabulous voice. This is her Rare Noise debut, a solo effort where she overdubs her voice into a choir. The mood is mysterious, at times eerie yet always accessible, well articulated and appreciable. It sounds like she is in a cathedral for “Jolene”, a prime example of the rich vocal harmonies on Mysteries Unfold.
