O’s Notes: Singer John Minnock is a passionate storyteller who teams up with saxophonist Dave Liebman (s-sax) on Simplicity. The primary rhythm section is Mark Lewandowski (b), Matthias Picard (p) and Pablo Eluchans (d). Rising pianist Sean Mason plays on “Angel Eyes” and “You Don’t Know What Love Is” with a statement solo from Liebman. Carlos Mena plays bass on the title track. They trade the spotlight on “Maiden Voyage” and “Cape’s End” balancing a fine session.
