O’s Notes: Jazz vocalist Judy Niemack contemplates all elements of romance on What’s Love? She explores elements of “hope, joy, excitement, desperation, disappointment, despair, bitterness and mystery” through 13 old and new songs. Guitarist Peter Bernstein is in rare form throughout the session, contributing a few original compositions as well. Sullivan Fortner (p), Doug Weiss (b) and Joe Farnsworth (d) round out the band with guest Eric Alexander playing sax on “Let Life Lead You”.
