O’s Notes: Veteran left coast vocalist Judy Wexler sings passionate, well-articulated songs on No Wonder, her 7th release. The band is solid with co-producer, arranger Jeff Colella (p), Danny Janklow (a-sax, t-sax, fl), Bob Sheppard (s-sax, cl), Jay Jennings (t, flugelhorn), Larry Koonse (g), Gabe Davis (b), and Steve Hass (d). We enjoyed Judy’s scatting on the title track, “Wish You Were Here” featuring Koonse, and “Slow Hot Wind”.
