O’s Notes: Pianist, composer Terry Waldo serves up another session of stride with the Gotham City Band on Treasury Volume 2. This is music recorded in 2018 and 2022. The open with vocalist Veronica Swift taking us back to the roaring 1020s on “Guess Who’s In Town”. Jerron Paxton plays banjo and sings “Wabash Blues”. Terry defies his age all the way through, scatting and tickling the ivory on “Smiles” with Mike Davis on trumpet and singing with bassist Brian Nelepka on “Sweet Sue”.
