O’s Notes: 23 year old jazz vocalist, pianist, actress Isabella Isherwood makes her recording debut with The Sweetest Sounds. She is supported by Mike Allemana (g), Joe Policastro (b), and Alejandro Salazar (d). Each of the musicians shines in the spotlight during the set. Isherwood starts out warming our hearts with a fresh rendition of “Devil May Care” featuring Allemana who also stands out on the title track. She goes solo, playing piano and singing on “My Buddy“. There are also a couple of strong duets: “Round Midnight” with Policastro, and “Till There Was You” with Salazar. This is a promising start packed with emotions.
