O’s Notes: Trombonist George Masso leads a large (10 musicians) ensemble on his own arrangements of ten classics from the Swing Era. He was heavily influenced by Jack Teagarden, and you can hear the similarities. The band is very capable including some nice work on guitar from Jon Wheatley. The sucessfully bring the past into the present.
