O’s Notes: Four talented musicians create a band that covers the audio spectrum, including percussion, with only saxophones! The harmonies are great as they jam, explode and sooth over the session. It’s cool jazz pushing avant garde but with lots of structure. Each song tells a story that you can feel, without words. The staggered layering on “Giant Steps” is exhilarating, bordering on chaotic! This live Chicago set is exciting and entertaining.
