O’s Notes: This compilation features some of the best blues that Esther recorded on between 1972 and 1975. Her voice has a unique nasal sound that pairs well with this unique arrangements of eleven classics like “Use Me”, “I Got It Bad And That Ain’t Good” and “What A Difference A Day Makes”. It is a nice snapshot form Sony’s Jazz Moods series.
