O’s Notes: The legendary Waller was a premier entertainer in his time. He played stride piano and sang mostly his own compositions but also some classics. This collection, 3 CDs includes extensive liner notes and photos that are a treasure alone! On disc 1 you’ll hear Fats playing all of his best, singing blues, scatting and telling stories. Disc 2 is all instrumentals with Waller playing solo piano, pipe organ and with his rhythm section and the final disc contains Tin Pan Alley tunes. This is an enjoyable collection with notes that provide great insight into the man and his music!
