O’s Notes: Easley’s intention on this release is to get some folks out on the floor cuttin’ the rug! His team is Larry Ham (p), Hassan JJ Shakur (b), Michael Carvin (d), Frank Wess (ts) and Warren Vaché (t). This is a polished crew who know how to get the job done. The songs aren’t all upbeat. “September Song” and “Spring Is Here” will give you the opportunity to get close to your partner. After appreciating all eleven tunes, if you don’t feel the urge to shake a leg, at least we hope you were patting your foot because these guys are really swinging!
