O’s Notes: These guys are among the most adventurous, fun bands on the contemporary jazz scene today. They are not afraid to experiment combining humor, poetry, eclectic music and a wealth of sounds. A Life in A Day of A Microorganism is about life itself both as narrated and with the instrumentation. We liked “Bimbo Mambo” which seemed to bounce around through different phases of life. They end with the title track, a three part composition It is the feature presentation, a parody on reality if you can take it. Creative, different and fun.
