O’s Notes: Doug MacLeod is a legendary blues guitarist and storyteller. A Soul To Claim was inspired by Doug’s many performances in Memphis where he definitely absorbed a dose of their local blues music, so much so that he and his wife Patti Joy now reside there. There are some catchy numbers with humorous stories like “Be What You Is”, “Money Talks” and “Dodge City”. Those are just a few of many with MacLeod’s spicy guitar licks complimenting the stories. We also enjoyed “Dubb’s Talking Disappointment Blues”.
