O’s Notes: Ardizzone opens scatting shadowed by guitarist Chris Jennings on Parker’s “Anthrology”. Bob Sabin (b) and Justin Hines (d) round out her quartet. They move into an almost country flavored “Afraid of the Heights” before returning to more centered jazz on “Autumn Leaves”, Jobim’s “Triste” and “Goodbye Pork Pie Hat”. She also collaborates on a couple of originals notably “I Got Lucky”. The song selection allows Leonisa to display her versatility and keeps the listener alert and engaged.
