O’s Notes: Ben Sidran is a polished veteran, keyboardist and producer who plays an insatiable mix of groove and swing. He was a part of the popular Steve Miller band. Are We There Yet is a live set recorded at the Sunside in Paris. He picks up the mic for a stab at rap on “Victime de La mode” and to deliver his message on the title track. His band is in lock step, including Leo Sidran (d), Billy Peterson (double bass), Max Darmon (electric bass), Rick Margitza (sax), Romain Roussouliere (g), and Moses Patrou (perc). “Panda”, “Ever Since The World Ended”, and “Picture Him Happy” are a few of the best. It works!
