O’s Notes: This is a biographical film about the legendary jazz pianist Art Tatum. Fellow musicians who were all fascinated with his techniques tell the story of his life. Tatum was blind but it certainly never hindered his playing. He’s revered as a technician and a musician of stride with blazing articulate speed. There are some excerpts and combined with the testimonials we got a strong picture of the wonderfully talented Art Tatum.
