O’s Notes: This recording celebrates 50 years in the recording business for Kenny Davern on clarinet. He swings as well as anyone and this session is no exception. The band is a quartet including guitarist James Chirillo, Greg Cohen (b) and Tony DeNicola (d). They play eight of Davern’s favorites. The mood is good and the sound is just right for a memorable set.
