O’s Notes: Pianist David Helbock leads a contemporary jazz trio with drummer Herbert Parker and Raphael Preuschi playing the bass ukulele. We’d never heard a bass ukulele but we can now attest that it is a worthy addition to this funky fusion set. Seven of the eleven tracks are Helbock originals combined with four fresh arrangements. We enjoyed “ pfili Bist So Kuhelrund”, the peaceful “Horus and Jesus”, “AM – Anonymous Monkaholics” and our favorites, “Yellow Meets Red” and “Virus Ukulelen Song”.
