O’s Notes: Lebanese American jazz vocalist Maria Jacobs presents a live recording, Back at the Bop Shop, her 9th recording as a leader. She sings a collection of freshly arranged classics supported by a trio with pianist Rock Wehrmann, bassist Aidan Plank, and drummer Mark Gonder. We enjoyed “You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To” including an intro duet with Plank before cool scatting. The entire team contributes on “Deed I Do”. Other highlights are “Easy To Love” and “Pale Moon, Blue Sky” with Chris Anderson (tb), Bobby Selvaggio (a-sax) and Jack Schxnitz (t).
