O’s Notes: Hailey Brinnel sings and plays trombone leading a quartet in a swinging set of ten songs including two originals on Beautiful Tomorrow. Silas Irvine (p), Dan Monaghan (d) and Joe Plowman (b) are the rhythm section. Brinnel invites Andrew Carson (t) and Chris Oatts (a-sax, s-sax) for three selections notably “There’s A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” and the lazy “Wayfaring Stranger”. Terell Stafford makes a guest appearance on “Tea For Two” and Irvine is bubbling along with Hailey on “The Sound”.
