O’s Notes: Pianist, composer Lynne Arriale embarks on her seventeenth recording as a leader on Being Human, a trio recording with Alon Near (b) and Lukasz Zyta (d). The all-original, eleven song set focuses on the finer elements of humankind. The titles, “Love”, “Soul”, “Courage”, “Persistence”, and “Passion” are inspirational in a world mired in hate and deceit. The songs are all instrumentals, yet they set a positive tone that we can build on. It certainly feels good after listening to the news!
