O’s Notes: Volume 2 features piano, vibes and violin. The magic continues with Nick Fiore (b), Junior Mance (p), J.C. Heard (d) and leader Lem Winchester (vibes) for the first three tracks, bouncy, cool club songs. Bess Bonnier (p) leads a trio on the next couple of songs followed by the Johnny Griffith (p) trio playing “Celia”. Joe Kennedy leads a quartet though the last 3 songs. His attack on violin is smooth and sharp with bluesy bite on “G-Man Theme”. It’s one more Night to Remember!
