O’s Notes: Shirley is a cabaret style singer with a strong voice that she displays immediately on the opener “It’s A Grand Night For Singing”. It is a strong introduction of these fourteen pop and show tunes. Ritenour is out front with minimal accompaniment, usually just a piano. Her vibrato is prevalent on “Time After Time” and “Over The Rainbow” as she soars through the notes. Shirley is at ease expressing herself and provides a rich interpretation of these classic tunes.
