O’s Notes: Bassist, composer, and conductor Dave Sharp is back with his Worlds Quartet to present a collection of fresh, contemporary jazz. The music is syncopated, lively with a broad appeal. Catalyst combines North African, Middle Eastern & Eastern European with American jazz, without offending any of their audiences! Dave leads the way with Hendrik Karaptyan (Violin), Igor Houwat (Oud), Mike List (perc) and featured guitarist Elden Kelly. Among the best songs are “Rue de Royal”, “13th Century Lion”, “Cidade”, and the title track.
