The music, a combination of traditional Chinese music with contemporary Cuban rhythms, is far more cohesive than the combination of cultures suggests immediately. Their friendship and musical collaboration is fruitful and enjoyable from racy ragtime on “Jasmine Flower” to warm ballads like “The Moon Represents My Heart”.
