O’s Notes: Mike started a new label Adventure Music that features Latin American artists, especially Brazilians, performing jazz. This is his latest release on Adventure. Marshall’s work on mandolin is very complementary to the light fresh Brazilian rhythms. He works with two different bands including guitar, clarinet, and percussion for this CD. Both are very good. The selections are strong with well-developed melodies and a strong dose of contemporary bossa nova – Brazilian choro.
