O’s Notes: Sheila Jordan (p, vocals) is 93 and is still an amazing musician. Comes Love: Lost Session 1960 is a beautiful recording that was ‘rediscovered’ from Olmsted Sound Studios. The accompanying musicians are uncertain but may have included bassist Steve Swallow and drummer Ziggy Wellman who she was performing with at the time. Sheila’s voice is youthful, with soft, airy, delicate tones. They swing on “It Don’t Mean A Thing”, “Sleeping Bee” and “They Can’t Take That Away From Me”. It’s vinyl-length 34 minutes providing a good snapshot of Jordan in her prime.
