O’s Notes: Drummer, percussionist Enrique Haneine leads a quintet on a cerebral journey of thought-provoking jazz. Thomas Heberer (t), Kirk Knuffke (cornet), Christof Knoche (b-cl) and Jay Anderson (b) join Haneine over 13 original compositions. Conceivable Directions is based on collective experiences and responses that we all encounter. The music is heavily syncopated. We liked “Thirteenth Level Indifference”, “Never Stranded”, and the bouncy “Irrelevant Own Design”.
