O’s Notes: The Paul Winter Consort has been delighting audiences for decades, most recently at The Cathedral of St. John the Devine in New York. That’s until the pandemic forced an alternate venue, Paul’s barn in Connecticut, hence Concert In The Barn. The lineup was also altered to include Jeff Boratko (bassoon), Henrique Eisenmann (p) and Eugene Friesen (cello) with Winter on soprano sax. Theresa Thomason has a rich beautiful voice and stands out on songs like “The Silence Of A Candle” and “How Can I Keep From Singing”. While this ensemble is more intimate than usual, they do a good job of continuing the legacy.
