O’s Notes: Solo piano can be entertaining in many settings. This is no exception. Chris Hopkins is a young, almost 28, German pianist loaded with talent. His playing mimics some of the great stridemasters, Fats Waller and Earl “Fatha” Hines. But his manages to add his own touches on 17 classics along with a couple of originals making this a fine performance.
