O’s Notes: This creation combines New York based poet Copernicus with a progressive rock based band led by Pierce Turner. The music parallels his thoughts in a show that is indeed entertaining for those who can engage. It starts with a science lesson of sorts with poems about atomic particles and quarks. He uses controlled anger and pity to describe the plight of New Orleans after an atomic devastation. He suggests that the scientific theory may be useless and that the laws of nature ultimately will prevail. The theories of Copernicus are indeed very provocative.
