O’s Notes: Dreams Come True is an album pairing vocalist, guitarist George Benson with Robert Farnon and his orchestra. It was recorded in 1988 but just being released after 35 years! They play eleven popular songs that will appeal to Benson’s audience, but there’s only a taste of the jazz guitar from George on this one, notably on “My Romance”, “At Last” and “Autumn Leaves”, all too brief for the guitar lovers. Benson’s voice is buttery smooth all the way through! They conclude with “One Goodbye” including Benson’s best guitar work of the session to wrap it up!
