O’s Notes: Bassist Cummings leads a trio with David Leonhardt (p) and Paul Wells (d). Edgeless is a collection of ten compositions written and produced by Cummins. The music is soft and relaxing centered around David’s fine work on the piano. Paul Wells (d) keeps time rounding out the trio. These are working musicians and you can find them performing in the New York metro area on a regular basis. They have played with many popular and legendary jazz musicians and their experience comes through on this recording. It is good listening.
