O’s Notes: Encontros Orquestra Atlantica“is the culmination of pianist Antonio’s desire to record with a big band. Adolfo serves as the music director and enlists Jessé Sadownick and Marcelo Martins to provides the band arrangements and orchestration. The songs are all Adolfo compositions (old and new) with the exception of a fine arrangement of “Milestones”. Powerful, rich brass harmonies resonate across all of the songs along with that spicy Latin flavor that we’ve become accustomed to hearing from Adolfo. We hope to hear more work from Adolfo with a large ensemble!
