O’s Notes: Listening to Omar Sosa (keyboards, samplers, perc, vocals) is an experience where you are engulfed in a musical cocoon. For“Eros“Sosa extends his spotlight to include co-producer Paulo Fresu (t, flugelhorn, effects, perc). This is the second collaboration with a trumpeter following“JOG“that included Joo Kraus. Sosa’s characteristic groove persists. Vocalist Natacha Atlas and Jacques Morelenbaum (cello) round out the quartet. There’s an erotic feel on “My Soul, My Spirit” that is threaded throughout the set making this a soothing, reflective experience.
