O’s Notes: Enternamente Manzanero is a rich collection of romantic ballads with Spanish lyrics and excellent instrumentation including lush strings. This is a strong performance for trumpeter and bandleader Arturo Sandoval. The surprise is Sandoval’s solid performance as a vocalist. Special guest Armando Manzanero composed all of the songs and arranger Jorge Calandrelli (p) shares billing with Sandoval.
