O’s Notes: Jazz vocalist Lauren White sings in front of The Quinn Johnson Trio with bassist Trey Henry, drummer Ray Brinker and Quinn on piano. The Experiment was inspired by music of the late Irene Kral. Johnson’s arrangements and White’s interpretations are sometimes distant from the original classics. Nevertheless this is relaxing music delivered in good form by an adventurous ensemble.
