O’s Notes: Pianist/composer Lisa Hilton presents Extended Daydream, a recording that spans a variety of jazz genres from the opening bebop selection “So What” to the peaceful title track. She leads a quintet with bassist Luques Curtis, drummer/percussionist Rudy Royston, saxophonist JD Allen, and Igmar Thomas on trumpet. We enjoyed, a peaceful ballad and the Latin tinged “Tropical Tuesday” and “It’s Just For Now”, two of nine original compositions that are fresh, swinging, and bubbly.
